THE COLLEGE OF BUSINESS STUDIES
The College of Business Studies is among the premier and leading academic institution in Sierra Leone. It was established in July 1992by Dr. Z.N. Zhan British academic and some Sierra Leonean with the core aim of providing high quality, low cost education.
The college since then has come a long way as manifest by the thousands of Sierra Leonean who are contributing diversely to national development.
The College academic profile spans the broad range of social sciences-discipline that reflects how we interact with one another and with society. The college maintains robust and effective quality assurance mechanism for all its qualifications. The college is recognized and financially supported by the Government of Sierra Leone through the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports. It is also accredited and validated by the National Council for Technical, Vocational and Other Academic Awards and the Tertiary Education Commission (TEC).

Not only can improve on your academic career prospects and employability it can also encourage you to think critically and creatively and increase your understanding of how and why modern societies, institutions and economic systems function in the way they do.
The programmes have been designed by our team at the college in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, the Sierra Leone Maritime Administration, the National Council for Technical, Vocational and Other Academic Awards (NCTVA) and the Tertiary Education Commission (TEC).
The college motto is “Lex omnibus una” – In pursuit of excellence. You can only achieve excellence through hard work and understanding the meaning of things. Studying the social science and maritime studies is extremely rewarding and very demanding. It requires a major commitment on your part. Many students achieve outstanding results and jobs and very proud of their success and their Alma mater. Our programmes provide an excellence foundation for a wide variety of careers ranging from Accounting, Banking, Computer science and information system, Management and Maritime studies. All of the programmes can act as a stepping stone for further study.

OBJECTIVES
The objectives of the College of Business Studies include the following.-
  To provide high quality, low cost professional education to under privilege Sierra Leoneans.
Provide suitable curriculum that meets the present future needs of our country.
Equip students with developed analytical, conceptual, qualitative and
interpersonal skills perform competitively.

Provide course leading to qualifications and Awards in diverse fields of studies
  Collaboration with other institutions and organization (both locally and extremely) with similar objectives.
Provide consultancy and advisory serves in Accounting, Management, Banking and Finance, Computer Science and Information technology and Maritime Studies
Encourage training, seminar conference and workshops in all fields of study.
Promote research and development.
